Oh What a Perfect Day!

Hi Guys, I cannot believe it has been practically six months since I last posted on here, sorry for my laziness, but there has been so much good stuff happening in my life that this would seem a perfect time to let it all out :) .

Ok, Where to start… Hmmm. Well, over the last six months my walk with God hasn’t exactly been stable, i was being rather undisciplined and letting too many things get in the way, plus i was going through the transition if switching churches and trying to find my place in my new church community, however i have mad some awesome new friends, as well as grown closer to some old friends, and if fact grown very close to one special person in particular, but i will tell you about that later ;) . My Faith began to grow more firm over the first week of the new year, thanks to a series or prayer meetings at church, and just allowing myself to spend time with God, i finally saw a way forward hat had been shadowed from me for so long, my time a s a leader could finally begin :) . I had requested to join one of the worship teams at my church, to play guitar on a sunday morning, but something was stopping it, it just wasn’t happening, but all the while some of my friends were encouraging me to get involved with the youth work, so i thought ok, if this is God opening a door for me then i will go through and see what is on the other side, so i have joined the team for the 11-14′s and to be honest i was absolutely terrified when i first went, i was so nervous it was unbelievable, but after a short while i began to calm and just get settled. I mean the kids seemed a little wary of me, but i think it will just take time for them to get to know me and get used to me, and I them, but so far the times i have been have all been great fun :D So thanks to all those who encouraged me into this area :) it was a real God thing :) .

Oh another Awesome thing that happened during December, one of my best friends and his wife had their first baby, a little boy named Alex :) he is such an awesome little lad :D and was so Cute when he was just 3 days old :D , and to be honest i think they have settled into parenthood quite well, So i wish them all the best, and hopefully i will see the little guy again before long :) .

And Last but by No means Least, I am going to tell you about someone whom i met not so long ago that has changed my life :) . About 4 months ago, i met this really awesome girl from America, she had come to be a youth worker at my church for a time, and i first properly met her one night at church, i was sat with her and another friend, so she was sat next to me and we talked a little bit, and at the end she prayed for me :) . Once the service had ended, she come over and invited me to come to her leaving meal, because she was going back home for the winter, so i said yes i will be there, well as i am sure you can imagine  Nov/Dec brought with it a harsh winter storm, the heaviest snow fall we have seen in a while, and i was worried that i would not be able to make it there, however against my mothers wished (it has to be said) i got my shovel and dug my car out, something just told me i should be there :) , and in the end, i almost got stuck three times but i made it for a short time, and it was nice just to get to know her a little more, after that we talked all the time, we chatted on facebook, and texted each other almost every day, and in the end we had come to know each other very well. I was so excited when she come back at the end of January :D and since then we have spend a lot of time together just as friends, But when my mum went away to israel this last week, she really took care of me, she made me banana bread, she is an awesome cook by the way, and we went to see the kings speech, and just generally hung out, then this thursday just gone, she invited me over for dinner before my mum got back from her trip, and she cooked this amazing meal with salmon and shallots and spinach, honestly i have never enjoyed spinach so much, then we hung out for most of the evening, but just to back track a little bit, over that week both of us had been through so much together, my hart just could not hold in how i felt about her, in fact i felt this way when she came back to newcastle, so on that night, while the Aurora Borealis was happening, granted about 500,000 feet above some dense cloud, and after we had watched Elizabeth (the movie)  i just felt an uncontrollable urge to tell her how i felt, and much to my happiness, she said she felt the same about me :) , in fact happiness just doesn’t do justice to how i felt that night, i was over the moon, and went home with a smile on my face :) , even though my mum wasn’t too happy that i had stayed out so late, it didn’t matter, I had met the perfect girl, she has been such a blessing, a really gift from God since i have known her, and i am thankful every day that God has placed her in my life. Yesterday we spent the whole day together, kinda stranded, on Holy Island, it was perfect, we could just enjoy ourselves, and wander round without a care, just having fun, talking and laughing the day away :) .

Haley, you are the greatest Gift i have ever received, you make me so happy, you are truly amazing, i hope we can be happy together for a long time :) .

I think that is you all caught up with most of the current events happening in my life :) . Hopefully my next post won’t be in another 6 months :P .

God Bless

Matt

    Matt,
Coming to you from the USA…
I have known Haley online for over 6 years and I’ve seen her grow so much, I am a Grandmom and I’ve ministered to many awesome people online, mostly young adults that God has lead my way. Haley is one of my special “Other daughters” and I’ve been through a lot with her and am thankful to say she’s allowed me to be a Titus 2 woman to her.
Reading this has caused me tear up, Haley is very special (but you know that) and I’ve prayed for a godly young man for her. What a joy to know you two have the same feelings. I will now pray for you and what God has for both of you.
I look forward to getting to know you, as we are forever family!
    IHL, Lynn-CUNDAIR
