This weekend i had such an amazing time in Nottingham at the FireSeeds conference, i got to spend the whole weekend just feeling so close to God. I really enjoyed spending time with many of my friends from Newcastle as well as those made in Israel ad it was great seeing them again after so long. i also got the chance to make so many new friends it was incredible, because i don’t usually find making friends an easy thing, but i just felt really comfortable with it.

This weekend i have done so many things i have never been able to do before, things i have never had the confidence to do, and it is just an awsome experience letting all those fears go, and do everything totally spirit lead. It’s amazing what God can do in us if we let Him.

There were a couple of small downsides to this weekend, they usually ended up with me in some form of physical pain, the food for instance, first night we had spaghetti, now I’m talk the old days of school dinner spaghetti, stuff that had enough greece to lubricate an engine and subsiquently left me with bad food poisening for a night but i was recovered by the next morning which was good. i was also left with two dead legs after a football tournament but i wasn’t so bothered about that cos i had fun and i hadn’t played in ages.

One thing i did find really exciting (event though nothing really amazing came from it) was that for the first time i lead in evangelism on a counsel estate in Nottingham, it was pretty nerve racking but i gave it my best shot an hopefully gave some confidence to my team mate who had never done evangelism before, so i really feel like that was something God really wanted of me otherwise i might not have had the confidence to do this…Thanks God!!

Can’t wait to do it all again next year, i really feel God has Helped me to grow this weekend through encourgament from himself and my friends. It’s really been an exciting time.

Hi all, it’s pretty early off the mark for me to be writting my second blog entry in less that twenty four hours i know, but i felt the need to share. Early tomorrow I will be heading off early (5AM!!!) down to nottingham to a christian student conferrence at the uni there, and for once in my life i feel really excited about going down to somewhere strange and talking to people about my faith, I mean generally i would be pumped upto the eyeballs with nerves and be having a breakdown before i even stepped out my front door. But not this time, i guess because it would be considered a picknick compared to my experiences on mission last summer. There is also the prospect of seeing some of my old friends from that mission that really gets me excited, to see people i haven’t seen in about 6 months or so, and i really can’t wait so see them again . I really feel the spirit hyping me up for this one and that always makes me feel excited.
